In his first game at Wrigley since leaving the Cubs in free agency this winter, Schwarber drilled a two-run homer off Adbert Alzolay. His blast cut the Cubs' lead over the Nationals to 4-3.
Schwarber said pregame he wanted to keep his emotions in check and avoid getting overly excited in his return to where he tried to hit a nine-run home run.
A two-run home run will have to do.
