The Chicago Cubs have lost 11-straight games since throwing a combined no-hitter against the Los Angeles Dodgers. It's one of the longest losing streaks in franchise history and creeping up on the record of 14 straight losses.
Over that span they've dropped from first place in the NL Central to fourth, nine games back from the Milwaukee Brewers. Fans are panicking, worrying and just trying to cope until that next win comes.
The Cubs subreddit has found a unique way to endure the losing streak, switching their attention to another Cub...
Cub Cadet lawn mowers. Seriously.
It's hysterical and a clever way to find some humor in dire times for a fan base that could see the last remnants of their 2016 World Series championship core dismantled later this month at the MLB Trade Deadline.
And it's inspired some great memes.
Like this 2016 World Series connection when the subreddit found out Cub Cadet's headquarters were near the site of the franchise's greatest triumph. Or what some call the greatest game ever played.
Or the time-honored tradition of families on the North Side passing their Cubs fandom down.
Then there is this look at Cubs history.
Personally, I think Cub Cadet mowers should continue to be a part of the subreddit.
