Injury update: Báez fine, back to work after scary HBP originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago
Cubs shortstop Javy Báez is back to work Saturday after a scary hit by pitch in Friday's game against Cleveland, manager David Ross said.
"Javy's fine," Ross said.

Báez took a fastball off his right forearm in the third inning and left the game. The club said afterwards the 28-year-old exited for precautionary reasons, adding he sustained a forearm bruise.
"I think it was all soft tissue, so I think he’s fine," Ross said.
Ross added Báez will take batting practice Saturday. The shortstop is among Cubs regulars who is not in the lineup against Milwaukee, along with Kris Bryant, Anthony Rizzo, Willson Contreras and Jason Heyward.
Marisnick update
Cubs outfielder Jake Marisnick is about a week away from playing in a spring game, according to Ross.
Marisnick, signed to a one-year deal last month, has been slowed in the early stages of camp by a minor calf injury. He hit in the cage on Friday without issue and has started testing his calf with supervised running.
"He’s progressing well," Ross said. "I want him to be able to get the burst. He’s still throwing, he’s still hitting.
"We’re trying to take it a little bit slower and make sure there’s a progression here for his running."
