DeRozan becomes 3rd Bull to exit health protocols originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago
The Chicago Bulls are making headway in the health and safety department during their week-long, COVID-19 induced pause.
On Friday, a team spokesperson confirmed that DeMar DeRozan is out of the NBA's health and safety protocols. DeRozan, who entered protocols on Dec. 6, is the third Bull to clear protocols this week, along with Coby White and Javonte Green.

NBA guidelines dictate that players in protocols remain there for 10 days, or until they return two negative PCR tests in a 24-hour window, before exiting. Then, players must pass cardiac screening before being cleared to play.
DeRozan's cardiac and conditioning statuses are unknown with a home game against the Los Angeles Lakers looming on Sunday (followed by the Houston Rockets on Monday and Toronto Raptors on Wednesday). But the development is a step in the right direction.
With DeRozan, White and Green clear, seven players remain in health and safety protocols: Matt Thomas, Derrick Jones Jr., Ayo Dosunmu, Stanley Johnson, Zach LaVine, Troy Brown Jr. and Alize Johnson.
