Bears' Matt Nagy Names Nick Foles as Starting Quarterback Against Colts

Nagy: Bears will start Nick Foles against the Colts originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago

Nick Foles is the Bears' new starting quarterback.

After putting up 188 yards and three touchdowns during his relief appearance in the Bears' 30-26 win over the Falcons on Sunday, Foles will get his first start of the season against the Colts this week.

Matt Nagy announced the decision during Monday afternoon's press conference:

It'll be Foles' first start since December 1st of 2019, when he was in Jacksonville. It was that game where, after starting went 7-14 for 91 yards and one interception, Foles was benched for Gardner Minshew in the Jaguars' 28-11 loss to Tampa Bay in Week 12.
