Allen Robinson Recreates NFL's Greatest Catches to Boost Madden 21 Rating

Watch Allen Robinson recreate iconic catches to boost Madden rating originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago

Is Allen Robinson underrated? When it comes to his actual rating in Madden ‘21, the Bears star receiver certainly thinks so. To get his ratings boosted, Robinson teamed up with Adam Lefkoe to put together a highlight reel illustrating exactly why he needs a bump in his numbers.

It’s a fun idea. Robinson wanted to elevate his 89 stamina rating, so he went through a 10-play no huddle drill to show he wouldn’t tire before his Madden avatar would start to wane.

Things get more interesting however when Robinson tries to show his “spectacular catch” rating is too low. To convince Madden’s ratings adjuster, Robinson decided to recreate some of the greatest catches in NFL history, from Dwight Clark’s “The Catch,” to modern classics like Odell Beckham Jr.’s iconic fingertip grab from the 2014 season.

In the end, Robinson’s hard work paid off. The ratings adjuster boosted Robinson’s stamina rating from 89 to 91, and his spectacular catch rating from 94 to 95.

After watching the tape, the ratings adjuster had some real life feedback as well: “In the NFL world, Allen Robinson is absolutely the most underrated player in the NFL.”
