Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Andres Nocioni poured in a game-high 26 points and Kirk Hinrich scored 25 to lead the Chicago Bulls to a 112-104 overtime victory against the Milwaukee Bucks to close out the preseason schedule for both squads.
Nocioni and Hinrich combined to hit nine shots from behind the arc with the former grabbing eight boards and the latter dishing out eight assists. Thabo Sefolosha had 18 points and 10 assists for Chicago, which opens its regular season Tuesday at home versus these same Bucks.
Derrick Rose had to leave the game in the first quarter with what is being called a strained right hip flexor after landing awkwardly driving the lane for a layup.
Richard Jefferson led Milwaukee with 21 points while Luke Ridnour netted 16 and handed out seven assists. Luc Mbah a Moute recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds in a preview of the regular season opener for both teams.
Joakim Noah's tip-in with 41 seconds left in regulation sent the game to overtime and the Bulls took control from there as Nocioni hit a pair of three- pointers in the opening 1:04 before going on to edge Milwaukee, 17-9, in the extra session.
