David Ross Caps Cubs Celebration With Epic Selfie

“How about a quick selfie?”

The Chicago Cubs have become a beloved squad because of how tightly-knit the team is, and that bond was displayed yet again as the team celebrated their World Series title on Friday afternoon.

David Ross, the catcher that is retiring from the game after winning one more championship ring, got to give the final speech in Grant Park on Friday, and after he did, he had a simple request for his teammates and for the fans in attendance.

“How about a quick selfie?”

Sure enough, “Grandpa Rossy” busted out his smart phone, and he got his teammates to pose for a picture with the thousands of Cubs fans that crowded into Grant Park for the celebration:

Several of Ross’ teammates, including Justin Grimm, Travis Wood, Kris Bryant, and Miguel Montero all found their way into the image, which is sure to become one of the iconic pictures of the team’s championship celebration after ending a 108-year title drought.
