Cubs' Ticket Prices Remain High, but Not As High As Previous Playoffs

If you’re hoping to get into Wrigley Field for the Chicago Cubs’ series with the Washington Nationals, you’ll be shelling out some serious coin, but the cost may not be as high as you think.

According to online ticket broker TicketIQ, the average ticket price for Games 3 and 4 at Wrigley Field stands at $402, with the cheapest available ticket currently sitting at $141.

Those prices are the highest out of any of the eight remaining playoff teams, according to the broker, but they are actually down significantly from the team’s previous two postseason runs.

Last year, tickets to the NLDS against the San Francisco Giants averaged $572, according to the website. The year before that, tickets against the Cardinals averaged $680 for NLDS games at the Friendly Confines.

The cheapest tickets currently available on StubHub for Game 3 are currently at $108 apiece for standing room only tickets. If you’re looking for actual seats, those will set you back a minimum of $144 for seats in the upper deck, according to the website.

Game 3 is scheduled for Monday night at Wrigley Field, with Game 4, if necessary, scheduled for Tuesday night.
