Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo was forced to leave Tuesday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers with a foot contusion, the team says.
Rizzo, who fouled a ball off his right foot in the third inning, was removed later in the game as part of a double switch by manager Joe Maddon.
According to the team, X-rays on Rizzo's foot were negative, and the team will provide updates on his condition at a later time.
Victor Caratini came into the game to replace Rizzo.
