Charlie Weis and Bill Belichick Are Wanted Dead Or Alive

Two coaches sing with Bon Jovi at charity event

Could it be that Charlie Weis and Bill Belichick missed their true callings in life?  Sure, one of them is an evil, hooded, genius with three Super Bowl rings, and the other is a rather rotund man with only two Super Bowl rings who happens to coach one of the most popular college football programs in the country, but wouldn't they have been better served as rock stars?

We already know that Weis has the ego to be the front man of any band, while Belichick would be the tormented genius/songwriter that shies away from the spotlight and just cashes all the royalty checks.

It's probably not going to happen, though, so we better be happy

with the performance we got on Thursday night

at the Waldorf Astoria in New York.  Weis put on a St. Patrick's Day Gala for his charity

Hannah and Friends

, which is a charity Weis and his wife started in honor of their daughet Hannah.  The charity's mission statement is to improve "the quality of life for children and adults with special needs."

Old friends Belichick and Jon Bon Jovi weren't the only two big names to show up at the event on Thursday, as former Irish standouts Brady Quinn and Tom Zbikowski attended, along with former New York Giants Tiki Barber, Mark Bavaro, Jesse Armstead, and the whole thing was emceed by ESPN's MIke Greenberg and Mike Golic.

It seems like a good time was had by all, though we're still trying to figure out how listening to Belichick and Weis sing helps anybody.
