It appears former U.S. House Speaker Dennis Hastert has returned to Chicago.
Records show that Hastert is no longer at the federal prison hospital in Rochester, Minnesota, where he was serving a 15-month sentence for a financial crime he committed while trying to cover up past abuse. According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons website, Hastert is in the custody of the Chicago RRM, a residential re-entry management field office which manages inmates going to home confinement or halfway houses.
The Bureau of Prisons said in a release Hastert's projected release date remains Aug. 16.
