An arrest was made in connection to a shooting that injured at least 10 people outside a nightclub in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley.
Angelo Luis Rivera, 20, of Allentown, was arrested and charged with criminal conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The shooting occurred along Hamilton Street in Allentown shortly before 2 a.m. Thursday, Allentown police said.
"Most, or all, of the victims had just exited the Deja Vu nightclub and were standing on or near the sidewalk when the shots were fired," Allentown Police Capt. Bill Lake said.
Ten people were treated at area hospitals, police said. They are all expected to survive.
Authorities believe there were three shooters. While police said Rivera was involved in the incident, they did not reveal whether or not he was a gunman.
"It appears that at least one individual was a target," Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin and Allentown Police Chief Tony Alsleben said in a statement. "Although not confirmed, in our opinion based upon investigative information ... it is more likely than not that the outcome of the investigation will reveal a connection to gang violence."
Witnesses and some of the shooting victims have been uncooperative with police, according to the statement.
Witnesses said they saw several panicked people fleeing the scene on foot, and at least one car was spotted speeding away.
"When everything went silent all you could hear is the screaming and panicking," Tashana Santiago, who lives near the club and woke to the sound of the shots, told The (Allentown) Morning Call. "All I could think was someone is dying."
