Matt Kliegman and Carlos Quirarte, the very cool downtown team behind The Smile restaurant in Noho and the Westway dance club, have now brought a perfect take-away food spot in the form of Smile To Go to a hipster crossroads in Soho that desperately needed a good food option (props to old-school Crosby Deli for holding down the fort alone for years).
Situated at 22 Howard Street between Crosby and Lafayette, across from Opening Ceremony, and nestled amongst a host of groovy fashion and design companies, Smile To Go offers chef Melia Marden’s delicious daily changing menu of Mediterranean-inspired dishes.
Chef Marden cooks according to the availability of ingredients and one might get a delicious chicken cranberry salad one day and a roasted beet salad on another. Smile To Go also offers coffee, tea, sandwiches, soups and pastries. Weekdays and weekends, see a lively group of creative types enjoying breakfast, lunch and dinner Mondays thru Saturdays from 8AM-6PM. Go check it out and you will indeed smile.
