Tinley Park High School was placed on a soft lock down for more than an hour Friday amid a police investigation, officials said.
The Village of Tinley Park said just before 10:30 a.m. the school was placed on the soft lockdown by its administration.
"Tinley Park Police are investigating and have no further information at this time," the village wrote on Facebook.
By 12:30 p.m., the village reported the lock down had been lifted.
"Tinley Park Police have stated that they will continue to investigate and that there is no threat to the community," officials wrote.
