Teen Shot Inside South Side Convenience Store

A 15-year-old boy was shot in his neck and knee and taken to the hospital in serious condition

A 15-year-old boy was shot inside of a convenience store in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood Saturday night.

The boy was standing inside the store in the 600 block of East 75th Street at about 10:30 p.m. with several other people when someone entered the store and began firing shots. The boy was struck in the neck and knee.

The victim was transported to Comer Children's Hospital in serious condition. His condition is now stabilized, police said.

No one is in custody, but Area Central police are investigating the shooting.
