A quick drive will have many residents going from shorts and a shirt to pants and a sweater.
After a mostly sunny morning, clouds and fog began developing over the city as breezy conditions sent temperatures dropping by more than 10 degrees in a matter of minutes.
Along the lakefront, temperatures were expected to sit between the upper-50s and low-60s, but inland they could reach into the 70s and possibly even the low-80s in some locations.
The city’s cold front will linger through the weekend before warmer temps likely return next week.
Highs Saturday will once again remain in the 60s along the lake but in the 70s and near 80 degrees inland. On Sunday, highs will sit in the upper-60s and low-70s.
A few isolated showers and storms will be possible late-Saturday and into Sunday morning.
By Monday, highs return to the 70s.
