A suburban woman has a lot more zeroes in her bank account after hitting the jackpot in a recent Lucky Day Lotto drawing.
Markham resident LaSaunya Jackson was the big winner in the Nov. 15 drawing, winning a cool $675,000 by matching all five numbers on her ticket.
“This is so exciting! I’m absolutely overwhelmed,” she told the Lottery in a statement.
According to the Lottery, Jackson chose the numbers based on family birthdays and bought the ticket at a Marathon gas station in Harvey. She plans to use the money to pay bills and to invest.
The jackpot was actually split for the drawing, with the other winning ticket sold at Luciano’s Grocery in Chicago. Both stores will receive a $6750 bonus for selling the winning tickets.
