During a brief court appearance, the man who escaped from authorities and went on a two-day crime spree last month was ordered held without bond.
Robert Maday got away from guards in September while being transported to a courthouse in Rolling Meadows. On Tuesday, he was sentenced to the 13 years he faced for earlier carrying out four earlier robberies while armed with a toy pistol, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.
Security was heavy as Maday appeared in court, the Chicago Tribune reported, his hands shackled to a waist chain and his feet secured.
Maday did not address the court.
