Man Killed After Exiting Vehicle on Stevenson Expressway

22-year-old Salvador J. Pena allegedly left his car and walked down the northbound I-55

A man died after being struck by two vehicles on the Stevenson Expressway after he exited his vehicle early Saturday morning.

The man, 22-year-old Salvador J. Pena, of Burbank, left his car and apparently walked between the center and right lane on the northbound I-55 at about 1:04 a.m. when he was struck by two different cars, Illinois State Police said.

Pena was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police say there may have been a domestic altercation between Pena and a woman who was driving the car he was in.

No charges have been filed.
