Man Arrested After Allegedly Robbing Suburban Convenience Store

A man is under arrest after he allegedly robbed a convenience store in Crystal Lake.

According to police, 32-year-old Joshua Wilson was arrested at his home after allegedly robbing an Open Pantry location in the 4800 block of Northwest Highway on Saturday morning.

During the incident, the alleged robber entered the business and demanded money just after 2:09 a.m. The clerk at the store complied with the man’s demands, and he later fled the scene on foot.

Crystal Lake police used a K-9 unit to track Wilson to his home, and he was charged with a pair of felonies in connection with the theft.

Wilson is currently being held at the McHenry County Jail, and the theft is still under investigation.
