Man Charged in Second Drive-by Shooting

Dillon R. Adair faces 15 years in prison for 2013 shooting

An 18-year-old Joliet man has been arrested after allegedly committing a drive-by shooting a day after he pleaded guilty in another drive-by shooting case.

Dillon R. Adair was taken into custody over the weekend after being arrested on a warrant issued last month on charges of aggravated battery and aggravated discharge of a firearm, the Joliet Herald-News reported.

Joliet Police say Adair was awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to aggravated discharge of a weapon in a 2013 shooting when on the night of March 29 he allegedly shot a man three times from inside a vehicle. The man's injuries were not considered life threatening.

He faces a maximum of 15 years in prison when he is sentenced next month for the 2013 shooting.
