Six restaurants in Illinois were named among Yelp's "Top 100 Places to Eat for 2019," according to the review site's annual list released Tuesday.
Three of the restaurants are in Chicago, while two are suburban establishments and one - the highest-ranked of all Illinois restaurants - is in Springfield.
To create the list, Yelp examined more than 25 million reviews of restaurants and took into consideration both rating and volume - accounting for review volume of the area to even the playing field - to find 100 eateries across the U.S. that earned the status of "must try" in the new year.
No Illinois spot cracked the top 10 on the list, but the Land of Lincoln's number one restaurant was Long Nine Junction in the state's capital, which was ranked 20th.
Next came two suburban spots: Papa Marcos Grill And Kabob in Waukegan and Los Takitos Taco Shop in Palatine, at 57th and 62nd, respectively.
Bistro 6050 in Chicago was ranked 65th, while Nini's Deli in Chicago came in at 86th. Rounding out Illinois' top-ranked restaurants to try was Chicago's Crepe Shop at 87th.
