Grateful Dead Shows to Be Available on Pay-Per-View

Fans can purchase live streams for any of the five shows or a package deal for all five together

Unlucky Grateful Dead fans who couldn't score tickets to the farewell show at Soldier Field can instead watch the concert from the comfort of their own homes.

Live Alliance announced Wednesday that the concerts will be webcast June 27 and 28 and July 3-5. Fans can purchase the webcast of all five shows from Dead50.net beginning May 1.

The Chicago concerts will cost $29.95 each to stream, according to the Chicago Tribune. The price for the California shows is a bit lower at $19.95.

In addition to live streaming the shows, fans can also watch them on a bigger screen at various movie theaters around the country. Tickets for these movie-theater experience go on sale May 4.

The Grateful Dead originally announced their farewell show in Chicago only, but they later added the two California dates after thousands of fans petitioned them for more shows.

Santa Clara, Calif., will host the first two shows on June 27 and 28 followed by the final three-day concert at Soldier Field in Chicago July 3-5.
