The old Joliet Prison, featured in the opening scenes of "The Blues Brothers" and TV show "Prison Break," was damaged in an overnight fire, officials said.
The fire began around 3:15 a.m. Thursday, Illinois Department of Corrections spokesman Tom Shaer told the Associated Press.
It appears the fire started inside prison walls and was contained to a warehouse.
No word yet on what started the fire, which remains under investigation.
The prison, formally known as the Joliet Correctional Center, opened in 1858 and was in use until 2002.
