A Lincoln Park man charged in connection with alleged two sexual assaults is scheduled to make an appearance in bond court Monday.

James Whiteside, 30, faces eight felony charges in the pair of alleged attacks, police said. One of the attacks was against a woman in a west side parking lot near the Orange Line. A second attack on a woman occured hours earlier in Chicago's Montclare neighborhood.

Whiteside, 30, of the 600 block of West Deming Place, is charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault against a senior, aggravated criminal sexual assault with a weapon, aggravated kidnapping with a weapon, kidnapping, aggravated armed robbery, aggravated unlawful restraint and aggravated vehicular hijacking with a weapon, authorities said.

In the most recent incident on Dec. 27, a 69-year-old woman was getting into her vehicle in a secure parking lot in the 4600 block of West 59th Street after exiting the Orange Line train when Whiteside allegedly brandished a handgun and forced her into the vehicle about 4:15 p.m., police said

White then sexually assaulted her and stole her money, cell phone and ATM card, police said.

After the assault, he drove her to various locations and made withdrawals from her bank account, before abandoning her and the vehicle on the West Side, police said.

At 2:30 a.m. the same day, police say Whiteside sexually assaulted a 23-year-old woman in the 3100 block of North Harlem Avenue, police said. Details regarding the incident were not immediately available.
