An early morning house fire in Chicago's Chatham neighborhood injured one person and displaced four others, officials said.
Firefighters were called to the one-story bungalow on the 8300 block of South Maryland Avenue a little after 12:20 a.m., said department spokesman Juan Hernandez.
The house was fully involved and it took crews about an hour to put it out.
Four people were displaced and a fifth, a woman, was taken to Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center, Hernandez said. The woman's condition was not known as of 6 a.m.
Chicago's Department of Human Services was called to the scene to assist the residents.
Fire officials were investigating the cause of the fire but had no information as of 6 a.m.
