A wintry mix is possible as the holiday weekend approaches and temperatures begin to drop after Friday.
Thursday could see freezing rain north of I-80 with temperatures ranging from 36 to 43.
Friday could also see wintry mix with smiliar temparatures, while the weekend will see colder temperatures ranging from 25 to 35 degrees.
Thursday will be the busiest day for travelling on the roads, according to the American Automobile Association.
For travelers flying for the holidays, Chicago say Friday will see a surge in passengers at Midway and O'Hare airports.
