Bulls Unveil Plans for New Practice Facility

The Chicago Bulls on Wednesday showed off artist renderings of a proposed, $25 million practice facility planned for the parking lot next to the United Center.

Players and coaches currently practice at the Berto Center in Deerfield.

Bulls Chairman Jerry Reinsdorf showed the plans for the 60,000 square foot facility to Chicago aldermen.

While the practice facility, which was designed by 360 architects, is going up with out a subsidy from the city, Reinsdorf does want help easing the tax burden for the United Center and the practice facility before moving forward with plans for a $95 million entertainment and retail complex nearby.

The team currently  enjoys a tax break, but the measure expires in 2016.
