Police Reunite 4-Year-Old Boy With Family After Finding Him Running in Street on South Side

A 4-year-old boy found running in the street Tuesday on the South Side has been identified and reunited with his family, police said. 

About 7 a.m. the boy was running across the street near Garfield Boulevard and Seeley Avenue, according to an alert from Chicago police. 

They determined the boy’s first name was either Miguel or Medill and said he spoke Spanish with limited English. 

Just before 10:30 a.m., police reported the child had been identified and was returned to his family. Details on what happened weren't immediately released.
