The Chicago Bears had their season ended at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles last week, but this week a possible victory slipped through the fingers of the defending Super Bowl champions.
In the fourth quarter of their game against the New Orleans Saints, the Eagles were driving into Saints territory when Nick Foles threw a pass to former Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery. The pass ended up going through Jeffery’s hands, and into the waiting arms of Saints defender Marshon Lattimore:
After that play, the Saints killed the rest of the clock, and advanced to the NFC Championship game, where they will face a rematch against the Los Angeles Rams in the Superdome next weekend.
