Toddler Found Walking West Side Streets

Three people brought the child, believed to be about 1, to Engine Co. 38’s firehouse

A toddler found walking on a West Side street with no shoes or coat Thursday morning was taken to a hospital after being brought to a nearby firehouse. 

Three people brought the child, believed to be about 1, to Engine Co. 38’s firehouse in the 3900 block of West 16th Street about 10 a.m. Thursday, according to Fire Media Affairs. 

The child was found walking in the street with no shoes or coat, according to Fire Media. 

Fire personnel brought the child to Mount Sinai Hospital to be checked out. A relative later went to the firehouse and was supposed to be reunited with the child, according to Fire Media, but police are investigating. 

Police did not immediately have details Thursday morning.
