Police Release Photo of Suspect in Shooting Death of Couple in Buffalo Grove

Investigators said they believe the shooting was targeted and there is not an active threat to the community

Police in suburban Buffalo Grove have released a photo of the suspect in the fatal shooting of a couple in a parking garage late Sunday night.

Police said Anatoliy Ermak, 64, is wanted for the deadly shooting of a couple that happened around 8:30 p.m. in a parking garage at 150 Lake Boulevard, police said. The victims’ bodies were found roughly three hours later, when a resident discovered the man and woman near a vehicle with blood on the ground and alerted authorities, police said.

Ermak, who should be considered armed and dangerous, might be driving a white, 2019 Nissan Versa hatchback with Florida license plate KCFK75, police said. Ermak might be staying at hotels in the Buffalo Grove area, according to an alert from Buffalo Grove police.

Two people were found dead in a parking garage in a northern Chicago suburb Sunday in what police believe was a targeted shooting by a gunman who remains on the loose. NBC 5’s Charlie Wojciechowski reports.

Investigators previously said they believed the shooting was targeted, and there was not an active threat to the community.
