A 30-year-old man was charged Saturday with assaulting a juvenile girl as she slept in her home in Albany Park last week, police said.
Edwin Hernandez, of the 4600 block of North Lawndale Avenue, was charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault and home invasion, according to police.
The attack occurred between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. on June 16 in the 4800 block of North Ridgeway Avenue, officials said.
Hernandez allegedly entered the girl's bedroom through her window and sexually abused her, according to a community alert.
Hernandez is expected to appear in court Sunday.
