Police say he kept the woman in his car for four days without food and forced her to work as a prostitute

A 36-year-old Rogers Park man has been charged with keeping a mentally disabled woman in his car for four days without food and forcing her to perform acts of prostitution.

Chester Nelson of the 1700 block of West Albion was arrested June 10 and charged with involuntary servitude, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. A judge set bond Sunday at $250,000.

The woman, a 20 year old from Crystal Lake, was in Chicago visiting a friend. According to prosecutors, she was picked up downtown by Nelson, who talked her into getting into his van.

The woman is reportedly mentally handicapped with the mind of a 12 year old. Nelson is accused of holding the victim in his car for four days and forcing her to work as a prostitute.
