Man Accused of Sexually Abusing Boy at Water Park

A man was charged after he allegedly touched a boy inappropriately at a northwest suburban water park last week.

Taylor L. Blaul, 29, is charged with four counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, Woodstock police said in a statement.

On July 10, police were notified that a man was seen touching a boy “in an inappropriate manner” at Woodstock Water Works, 1313 Kishwaukee Valley Road, the day before, police said.

Detectives determined Blaul had been the man at the water park and arrested him Tuesday, police said. The investigation was done in conjunction with the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s office, Child Advocacy Center of Woodstock and the state’s Department of Children and Family Services.

Blaul will appear in bond court in Woodstock Wednesday.
