GOP Leader Mitt Romney Heads to Chicago

Mitt Romney is headed to Chicago, Thursday, for pizza and business.

The leading Republican presidential contender for 2012 will pop into Barack Obama territory to "discuss jobs and the economy with business owners," according to his campaign.

He'll host a fund-raising event at Geno's East Pizza on Wells Street.

Romney, who's been battling against the idea that a health care plan he passed in Massachussetts is similar to Obama's national version, hasn't visited Chicago since Obama established his headquarters here in March.

Illinois State Treasurer Dan Rutherford will act as Romney's Illinois campaign chair, according to Lynn Sweet from the Chicago Sun-Times
