An electronic sign along Lake Shore Drive Friday morning was seen “displaying inappropriate comments, one of them being 'Kill Cops,'” Chicago Police Department confirmed.
CPD public information officer Sally Brown said the comments were first seen at around 6:20 a.m. Friday at the 1600 block of S. Lake Shore Drive.
It remained unclear just how long the display remained.
Officials said Streets and Sanitation were called to the scene to deactivate the sign.
No other information was immediately known.
