An Illinois appellate court is allowing a lawsuit against a popular hot dog stand in Chicago to move forward.
The suit holds the Wiener's Circle in Lincoln Park responsible for a woman's injuries back in 2011.
Leah Libolt says she broke her left wrist and elbow and needed two surgeries after another diner knocked into her after arguing with the staff. The injuries caused Libolt to miss four months of work for physical therapy, according to the lawsuit.
The incident unfolded around 2 a.m. on Oct. 22, 2011 when a group of drunk and disorderly customers were standing near the picnic tables outside, according to Eater Chicago.
The court says there are steps the restaurant at 2622 N. Clark St. should've taken, knowing their history of an unruly atmosphere.
