On Friday, Valentin was at the door at Gallagher’s bar, 1770 W. Greenleaf, when he got in a dispute with a group kicked out of the bar three weeks ago for not paying their bill.

Valentin allegedly shot one of the men in the leg. Police found the badge when he was arrested in the 1900 block of West Touhy.

Valentin says a gun was pulled on him first.
