The Obama’s may be heading home to Chicago for the holidays, albeit briefly.
The Obamas are rumored to be considering a quick trip to Chicago to check up on their Kenwood mansion before heading off to sunny Hawaii, the Sun-Times Michael Sneed reports.
If you thought the traffic at O’Hare was going to be bad on Christmas Eve, just imagine what it’ll be like if Air Force One stops for a layover.
Sneed also reports that embattled White House Social Secretary Desiree Rogers will be heading back to Chicago for the holidays.
Rogers could use some of the comforts of home after her involvement in Crashergate sullied her name. Perhaps she’ll be unwrapping a new dress, or a clipboard.
No word on if Rahm Emanuel, David Axelrod and Valerie Jarrett, all Chicagoans, have plans to travel home for the holidays as well. If they decide to catch a ride with the Obama’s, it’s a good bet Emanuel will ride shotgun.
