Five southwest suburbs will offer free rides this New Year’s Eve in a safety effort to keep drunk drivers off the roads.
The rides will be offered between midnight and 4 a.m. in Mokena, New Lenox, Orland Park, Palos Heights, and Tinley Park.
Passengers can arrange for a ride during the designated hours by calling 708-349-7700.
You must mention the program at the time of the call. Safe Ride Home drivers only transport passengers to their homes.
