Illinois State Police are investigating a fatal wrong-way crash on Interstate 57 Sunday night that claimed the lives of two people.
According to police, a driver was travelling southbound in the northbound lanes on Interstate 57 just north of the Interstate 80 interchange when the collision happened.
Police still have not said how many cars were involved in the crash, or which cars the victims were riding in when they perished.
The investigation is still ongoing, and northbound lanes are shut down near 175th Street.
