One person was injured in a scaffolding collapse in Chicago's Loop early Tuesday, authorities said.
Fire officials said the incident took place at around 5:22 a.m. in the 100 block of West Jackson Blvd.
A 40-year-old man was injured when scaffolding fell 10 feet, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
Authorities said the man was taken in serious-to-critical condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Further details on the collapse, including its cause, were not immediately available.
Chicago's Department of Buildings was called to the scene and the incident remained under investigation.
