Multiple Injuries in Southwest Side Fire

The building had propane tanks inside, fire officials said

A three-alarm blaze on the city's Southwest Side engulfed a building early Wednesday, injuring two firefighters.

The fire reportedly started around 9 a.m. at San Jose Imports, at 3760 W. 38th St. Plumes of smoke could be seen from the inbound Stevenson, causing major delays.

Chicago Fire officials said the building had propane tanks inside. One person was transported with minor injuries. As of10 a.m. three ambulances were on the scene.

Firefighters reported water problems, putting crews in defense mode.
