Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP is laywering up.
The firm's New York office will hire about 100 lawyers from Wall Street firm Thacher Proffitt & Wood LLP, according to Chicagobusiness.com
The change will take effect Jan. 1. Chicagobusiness.com reports that the move wil help the firm capitalize on the the financial market recovery and increased government regulation.
The move also reduces the composition of the Chicago office to 20 percent of the firm's laywers.
A Thacher spokeswoman did not return a phone call seeking comment Monday.
