Two Chicago men were arrested and charged Friday in connection with the shooting deaths of a church deacon and a blues musician in December.
Mark Hall and Devin Alridge, both 23, face two counts of first degree murder.
Authorities say the men are responsible for shooting 41-year-old Eric "Guitar" Davis and Willie Cooper, 74, on December 19 on the South Shore neighborhood.
Both victims were shot in their cars a few blocks away from each other and 30 minutes apart.
Davis played with a group called the Troublemakers and was a prominent performer in Chicago's blues scene who could be found playing shows across the city. He was also reportedly about to record with Delmark Records when he died.
Cooper was a retired CTA driver and deacon at his church for more than 20 years.
Both suspects are due in court Saturday.
