Evanston's Tiny Food Truck Festival

Food truck legalization is still an uphill battle, but that doesn't mean we can't celebrate how much we love them—even if only three trucks are able to make it. 5411 Empanadas, Flirty Cupcakes, and Evanston's own Hummingbird Kitchen will all be present for Evanston's first Food Truck Festival this Sunday at Grey Park (1051 Main St.) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Meanwhile, Chicago's other 20+ food trucks are M.I.A. for some reason. (Isn't mobility the whole point here?)

As it is a festival, other family-friendly activities include dancing Zumba, climbing a fire truck, and singing in the ampitheater. On the upside, if none of these activities interest you, you can always enjoy your food and sit within a quiet distance in the park. [Yelp via The Stew]
