School of Rock is a great movie. In fact some would say it totally rocks!
Believe it or not, there are real places like the school depicted in that movie. Right here in Chicagoland, actually.
The Rock Academy in Downers Grove offers an 8-week class where kids between 12-18 years old learn their instrument and practice performing with other kids at their age and skill level.
You can experience the fruits of their hard work on Saturday at the Best Buy at 1432 Butterfield Road in Downers Grove.
Show times are 2 pm and 4 pm. Show your support for these cool kids and their cool parents who carted them to the Rock Academy for 8 weeks to practice.
Who knows, maybe Jack Black will even show up!
