The I AM Fest will showcase local bands and artists during an all-day show

When one rock concert just isn't enough, check out the first-ever I AM Fest, a 14-hour marathon of local music, plus an exhibition of art, photography and film by Chicago artists. The Independent Arts & Music Festival, which is brought to you by the Chicago Noise Machine, a collective of nine local rock bands, will take place Saturday, June 13 at the Congress Theater in Logan Square.

The Chicago music and art showcase will feature 25 performances on two stages plus an exhibition of works by 25 artists. Chicago Noise Machine bands A Birdsong Valentine, Algren, Bullet Called Life, Echo Son, Heavy the Fall, Lucid Ground, Reverie, 72 Hours and Simplistic Urge will all perform during the festival, along with 16 other local bands representing a diversity of genres. You'll also get to rub elbows with musicians, artists, photographers, filmmakers and lifestyle vendors, all of whom will have exhibit space located throughout the Congress Theater.

The I AM Fest will kick off at 11AM and go strong through 1:30AM. Tickets for the 17-and-over show are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. The Congress Theater is located at 2135 N. Milwaukee Ave., 773-276-1235.
